On Wednesday evening, the One Park Place sales team hosted an intimate gathering on the 14th floor for several agents…many of whom hadn’t toured One Park Place (or hadn’t toured since construction was complete in 2011)!  It was a great night, thanks to the wonderful company and Chef Matt from the Culinary Center of Kansas City.  Chef Matt and his assistant, Connie, brought a wonderful Asian Delights menu and as you can see – everyone had a chance to involved with our “Sushi & Sake” event!

The BMA Tower, now known as One Park Place, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill with steel frame construction and clad in a contrasting grid of deeply inset black glass and white marble. It opened in 1963 and was the first high-rise structure in Kansas City since the building of City Hall.^[2]

It was designed by SOM project manager Bruce Graham, who later was lead architect for the John Hancock Center  and the Willis Tower.

The BMA Building won an Architectural Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Steel Construction and a First Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects.

The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.   

Neighboring Penn Valley Park includes many amenities: an off-leash dog park, a skate park, nearly 2 miles of asphalt trail, tennis courts, picnic shelters, a playground, and lighted ball diamonds.  On the grounds you’ll find the Off Broadway Theater and the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial.

$2 million to upgrade Plaza garage adds to HOA bottom line
